With a mylar and stainless steel reed assembly, this call is different than any of our other predator calls. It is a loud high pitched woodpecker distress call. Some of our customers say this is call to buy if you want to shoot bobcats in big numbers. Interestingly enough, this is the only call any of the field staff have called in bocats with here in Iowa. “Woody” will also make great bird distress sounds and high pitched small animal distress squeals making it even more versatile.
Call is high pitch to allow very nice woodpecker distress tones. Trilling with the tongue adds realism. I purchased this call specifically to use in areas of high hunting pressure. Needed something different than electronic rabbit or rodent screams for wary coyotes and bobcat. It has good volume but can be blown with less pressure to start a set to attract close coyotes or cats. For something different to add spice to your calling I highly recommend the call. Does not freeze up with hard blowing. Finish is very nice. For my sets I now only use this call and a high pitch baby rabbit close call. Works great here in Arizona.
