This call is a game closer. Try every other call and when they don't work put them away and use this one. Works at least 80% of the time.

one blows good the other does not work

I have many different calls but this is my first open reed call. I bought it on advice from a friend. I was very disappointed. At first I couldn't make any noise at all. The reed just choked/stopped when I tried to blow it. Then I could make a buck grunt sound, then sound like duck. Finally got to where I could do a jack rabbit. Forget about doing a cottontail or a distressed pup. It chokes out on the high pitches. Suggestion the manufacturer: Posting a 2 minute video on YouTube showing how this is supposed to work and how it's supposed to sound would take very little effort and would make this a much more valuable call. From what I've seen on YouTube, and other places the Crit-r-Call can apparently do everything the Tally Ho can do and them some. Apparently it can do the high notes. One person said the Crit-r-Call is not as "finicky". I can't speak to that since I don't have a Crit-r-Call. But that will probably be my next open reed call.

I'm sure that my inexperience is part of the reason for this bad review, but come on... the packaging doesn't even indicate if the reed is supposed to go on top or the bottom. Is that too much to ask? There's probably a DVD that I'm supposed to buy. If that's true then the product description should say "Instructions sold separately."

This call is one of the best calls ive ever used. I have been using it for years. I highly recommend this product.
